Welcome to the Club of Democracy (CoD)
The Club of Democracy (CoD) is a unique, democratically governed institution established by the Naksh Foundation, with the mission of advancing democratic values within our country. The CoD is dedicated to promoting, planning, executing, and reviewing projects and initiatives undertaken by the Naksh Foundation and its partner organizations. Furthermore, the CoD has the authority to independently plan, execute, and audit its own projects and initiatives, ensuring a robust and democratic approach to societal development.
The Club of Democracy at Delhi University adopts a comprehensive three-tier structure, mirroring the Indian democratic system. This structure ensures effective governance and widespread participation at various levels:
University-Level Organization
The top tier, responsible for overarching strategies and coordination.
- Members of Naksh Foundation: Key members who bring in expertise and experience
- Project Heads: Leaders responsible for the major projects run by Naksh Foundation.
- Members Appointed by Partnered Organizations: Representatives from organizations partnered with the CoD.
Campus-Level Organization
The intermediate tier, bridging college-level clubs and the university-level organization.
- Elected Members of College-Level Organizations: Representatives elected from college clubs.
- Leaders of Other Organizations: Influential leaders from various student organizations.
- Members Appointed by the Central Organization: Selected members who ensure effective communication and implementation of initiatives.
College-Level Clubs or Organization
The foundational tier, engaging directly with students at the college level.
- Membership: Open to all bona fide college students.
- Elections: Members elect their Club Leader, ensuring democratic governance.
- Appointments: Club leaders appoint additional members as needed to fulfil the club’s mission.
